What this service actually does
A beta reader is not an editor. They are a careful, articulate reader who tells you how the book actually lands: where it drags, where they got confused, which character they stopped believing, and whether the ending earned itself.
We match your book to a reader who genuinely reads your genre, and we return their feedback as a structured report against defined categories, so it is usable rather than just encouraging.
Right for you if…
- You have a complete draft and want reader reaction before editing
- You suspect something is not working but cannot identify it
- You want to catch problems before reviews do

Questions
Beta Reading questions
The things authors ask us most about this service.
What does the report actually cover?
Plot and structure, pacing, characters, readability, consistency, engagement, and overall reader experience — each with specific examples from your manuscript rather than general impressions.
Do you beta read non-fiction?
Yes. For non-fiction the report focuses on argument clarity, structure, evidence, audience fit and whether each chapter delivers what it promises.
How is this different from editing?
A beta reader tells you how the book lands. An editor changes the text. Most authors benefit from beta reading first, then editing — you do not want to polish sentences in a chapter you later cut.
Can I ask for more than one reader?
Yes. Request a custom offer and we will quote multiple readers, which is genuinely useful when you want to see whether a reaction is one person's or everyone's.
